Life under the sea

There are so many animals and things under the sea, like fish, tortoises, sharks and stuff. During the holidays, we went to Pringle Bay and fished. My friend Stephan caught about 10 sharks, my brother 4, my other brothers friend 2 and he caught 1 himself. It was a Zebra Shark and already dead. I could maybe send a picture next time. This is my horse Misty Morn. I got her for Christmas in 2007 and she lives on our farm in the Free State, along with another pony, so I do not get to see her often. She was abused and is still covered in little hairless spots where the ticks were. She was tied up with

The people we bought her from rescued her and showjumped her. She is the most amazing
horse, I cannot believe the way people treat animals. She is pregnant now and I am planning to train her foal by myself.

I do not ride Mist with a bit or saddle, just her halter. Sometimes I just hop on without anything.

Sardinia

When I was younger,my family and I went to Sardinia, an Italian Island. Next to it is Corsica, one of the 26 regions of France. We could see Corsica from the edge of Sardinia. I loved ardinia very much!

One day Sardinia started burning because of the heat! I was really scared. We made riends with our neighbours, who also spoke Dutch.

What I liked about Sardinia were the evenings. We would go to the night markets. Sadly though, my brother broke my favourite Alice-band. It was blue, green and see-through, and glittery.

One day at the beach my mom asked me to take some food to my brother, who was fishing. I ran to the cliff where he was fishing, but then I took it till where he was. I was
nearly there when I slipped! I grabbed a hold of the cliff, so that I would not fall. The food got squashed though. I cut my foot on the rock that was underwater! I screamed until a friendly guy helped me. My foot was bleeding! My brother collected his food and came after me. My foot was sore, but I was lucky, it could have been worse, according to the doctor.

I still love Sardinia very much though. And I am missing it lots!

Hey everyone! In Germany we had chickens and a cock. His name was Milano (my brother came up with that name) and we had about 7 chicken and babies. So in total we had 9 chicken because most of the babies died. We would eat their eggs and feed them everyday. But we gave them away because we moved here. I think they are all dead. This is a baby Crested Barbet. We found it in our garden. While it was sitting on the grass, its mom sat on the top of the swing and stared at it. Then the mom flew away. We sadly do not know what happened to it.

A baby mole

In October 2006 my family and I went to Ramsgate for a week. It rained for five whole days but on the Saturday the rain eased up. When my sister and I were playing in the garden, we stumbled across a baby mole. After moving it into the shade, without touching it, we phoned the SPCA, but they were not available. When we got back to our flat, we saw the mole had sadly passed away and in the morning there were mole holes all over the place. Its family had been looking for it, but had not found it. It was a very sad time for us but at least the poor mole is now in heaven!
